Tara Aziz, Senior Coordinator, Low Vision Programs – Tara brings decades of nonprofit program development and implementation from her years in international development with the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, the Washington Kurdish Institute, and UNICEF. Her decades of experience help ensure that POB implements an effective and equitable program.
As the Senior Coordinator of Low Vision Programs, Tara leads POB’s comprehensive low-vision programs, including the Low Vision Resource Center and the Janet Morrison Resource and Support Network. Previously, Tara served as a Senior Resource Navigator, directly supporting Hotline callers and visitors to the resource center. She also writes our monthly publications and provides helpful tips to people facing vision loss.
Tara speaks French and Arabic. Tara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and English Literature from Al Mustansiriya University and a Master of Arts in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
