The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington accepts new and gently used, unbroken eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Your donated eyewear may be:
- Used at our Eyeglasses Clinic
- Sent to the Lions Eyeglasses Recycling Center of Northern Virginia, or
- Sold through POB’s Look Again Resale Shops, supporting our community programs.
Celebrity Specs®
POB also collects pairs of glasses for Celebrity Specs®, a unique fundraising and awareness initiative featuring eyewear and autographed photos donated by well-known personalities. Many of these items are auctioned at POB’s fundraising events in support of our sight-saving programs.
