Many theater performances are now accessible to the members of the community who have low vision. Large print programs are offered along with audio described performances.
The following theaters provide special services for visitors with low vision:
Arena Stage
Large print program at all performances. Audio described performances on select Thursday evenings and Saturday matinees.

The Kennedy Center
Large print program available at all performances. Audio described performances at select matinee and evening performances of all theatrical presentations. Touch tours of the Kennedy Center are available upon request with two weeks advance notice.

Olney Theatre Center
Audio described performances are offered on the third Wednesday evening of each production's run. Audience members may enjoy free broadcast pre-show program notes and descriptions of the action, scenery and costumes during pauses in the dialogue from any seat in the theater. The Metropolitan Washington Ear provides this service.

Shakespeare Theatre Company
Two audio described performances are available for each production throughout the year on select Thursday evenings and Saturday matinees. Large print program notes, and an infrared audio enhancement system are also available at all performances at the coat check on a first-come basis at Sidney Harman Hall and Lansburgh Theatre.
