Eyeglasses for the Needy
Print Email

Can you imagine if you or a family member needed eyeglasses but couldn't afford to buy them? Could you read? Could you or your spouse hold a job? Could your children do their school work?

Unfortunately, these are all issues that some individuals have to face. That is why the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington® developed the Eyeglasses for the Needy program.

Each year, this program provides thousands of homeless and low-income persons in the metropolitan area with new glasses or repairs broken ones. From children and older adults to a family living paycheck to paycheck, this program helps people receive the eye health care they need at a price they can afford.
