Unfortunately, these are all issues that some individuals have to face. That is why the  Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington®  developed their Eyeglasses for the Needy program.

This program provides thousands of homeless and low-income persons each year in the Washington, D.C. with new glasses or repairs broken ones. From children and older adults to a family living paycheck to paycheck, this program help people receive the eye health care they deserve at a price they can afford.
