Audio Described Videos Can Help You Enjoy Movies

Videotapes with ”descriptive narration” are popular home movies, which have been specifically enhanced for people with visual impair-ments.  During pauses in the dialogue, a narrator describes the scenery, costumes, and actions.

Audio described videos are also available through The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), and free of charge to eligible borrowers.

Videos must be returned after three days by mail or by returning them to the nearest public library.

To find out more about borrowing descriptive videos, contact the public library special services near you.
