Night of Vision 2008
The Prevention of Blindness Society of
Metropolitan Washington honored Robert A. Copeland, Jr., M.D. with the POB’s
Professional Service Award. The award
presentation took place at POB’s annual Night of Vision Gala on
The
Prevention of Blindness Board of Trustees established the Professional Service
Award in 1987 to be given annually to the person who best exemplifies the
spirit of the Society’s mission, and its commitment to the community. Dr.
Copeland was chosen not only for his lifelong public service, but especially
for his many efforts to enhance the lives of patients and their families with
vision challenges.
