POB Attends American Girl Store Opening at Tysons Corner

The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) was invited last month to the grand opening reception of the American Girl store at Tysons Corner. POB is American Girl Programs’ charity of choice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for its American Girl Fashion Show to support sight-saving children’s programs.

Katie Gallagher and Hailey Irwin, past models at POB’s American Girl Fashion Show, were quoted in the June 11 Washington Post Kids Post article on the store opening.

The 4th Annual American Girl Fashion Show will be Sunday, November 6 at the Bolger Center in Potomac, MD at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Special guests include American Girl authors Valerie Tripp, Sharon Cindrich, Diane Heiman, and Kerry Madden, and special guest vocalist Kaitlyn Maher, the youngest performer ever to make it as a top 10 finalist on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent.”
